– is the red wine of our utmost pride. The Cot (also called Malbec) of “La Chapiniére” is the authentic grape vine .of Touraine and in particular of the Valley of the Cher River. The Cot is the result of a brilliant selection process carried out by Hugues Garnon, a distinguished vine grower of the beautiful castle that overlooks our region – Chateauvieux.
The intense red of this wine is a reflection of its full, round taste. Its light perfume of violet joins a fruity bouquet of blueberries that quickly dissolves as you swallow so that, finally, your palate will sense the aroma of freshly turned earth and the scent of forest undergrowth. Our Cuvée Côt Garnon is a truly authentic red wine with a loving personality that recalls incessantly the land of its birth, Touraine. Although it can also be consumed immediately, it is worthy of keeping five or more years under proper conditions. This particular wine, so exacting, loves to be decanted before drinking. Our Cuvée Côt Garnon will heighten the taste of the finest red meats and will specially please you with game meat.
